Be a part of helping us get a better understanding of how our coastal waters are being used.

Cornwall Wildlife Trust are holding an online evening event designed to introduce volunteers to our new water user survey forms.

The data collected will help them build a better picture of how our inshore coastal waters are being used by people, for example fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, boating and jet ski use.

Training will provide information on how to identify different types of vessels, as well as more detailed descriptions such as different symbols water users may use to indicate their activity when in the water. They are hoping to improve our understanding of seasonal patterns and high use areas to guide our conservation efforts.

The session is online but to be followed by practical training during Seaquest Southwest public seawatches over the summer.
