SUMMARY:Seasearch Observer Course
DESCRIPTION:Seasearch is a national project which trains divers\, freedivers and snorkellers to record the wildlife they see on their dives. It gives additional purpose to your diving and is great fun as well as providing vital information for our conservation work. \nThis course is aimed at giving divers new to the project an introduction to the Seasearch programme. It is suitable for all divers including those who are already good at marine species Id and for those who are total beginners at marine id. At the end of the course you will be able to complete the Seasearch Observation Form to a level suitable to make the information you record really count\, and take part in Seasearch dives\, either on your own\, with your club or on dives organised by Seasearch partners. \nCost – £70per person\, which includes a copy of the Seasearch Guide to marine life (rrp £19.95) and a course pack. \n  \nFor additional information and registration\, click here.

DESCRIPTION:Vicky Fryer\, Mark Johns\, Andy Bennets and Team from Blue Shark Snorkel \n  \nVicky Fryer and her expert Team will reveal the natural history of Blue Sharks as studied and witnessed through the Blue Shark Snorkel business that she runs here out of Penzance. \nThey will dispel the myths that abound about sharks being aggressive and\, instead\, present the Blue Shark as the gentle and inquisitive creature that they know it to be! \nStarting with the very oldest\, he will help us to recognise key geological features and\, ready for your next walk by the coast\, he will reveal to us how to read the very rocks beneath our feat! \nSuggested donation: £5. Your donations go towards future community engagement activities\, our Seagrass and Kelp monitoring project\, equipment\, training and insurance costs.
