SUMMARY:Marine Life Rescue - Tales from the Frontline!
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dan Jarvis\, Director of  Welfare and Conservation\, British Divers Marine Life Rescue \nDan will describe the role that BDMLR plays at the frontline of marine mammal emergency response.  This can range from attending seals in distress caused by marine refuse becoming lodged around their necks – to dolphins that have becomed entangled in discarded fishing gear.  He will describe the multitude of threats that these creatures face and how BDMLR cares for them during and after rescue.  He will also explain to us how we can all help in the conservation of these animals.  Dan will present the national picture as well as describing incidents that have occurred in Mount’s Bay and the surrounding area. \nSuggested donation: £5.
